Our focus is to tour all types of facilities, have technical presentations, offer networking opportunities and to have a fun time while we do it!

Join Association for Facilities Engineering, Worcester Chapter 74 for a tour of the City's newest Public School, Doherty Memorial High School. Designed by local architecture Firm LPA | Associates, with construction by joint partnership Fontain-Dimeo, the state-of-the-art school is on track to open in August 2024 for student use.

The new 420,000 SF building will support an educational program for nearly 1,700 students, with spaces for vocational programs including Engineering & Technology, Construction Craft Laborer, Programming and Web Development, and Marketing Management and Finance. The new building will also support significantly expanded STEAM facilities, including a Blackbox Theater, a Biotechnology Lab, and a Multi-Media Makerspace. With a construction cost of just over $300 million, the new facility, which is targeting LEED Gold Certification, will replace the outdated existing Doherty Memorial High School from the mid-1960’s with modern teaching facilities for grades 9 – 12.
